About Us
Our Story
I come from generations of farmers, so raising animals has always been part of who I am. Some of my earliest memories are on my grandpa's beef cattle farm. And my earliest memory of show dog breeding takes me back to my early childhood when my parents bred a litter of Champion bloodline toy poodles in our home from our family pet, Lucky, and I got to experience the puppies from birth. There's nothing like it. And I'm hooked for life. Getting to bring a small life into the world shaped from the best genetics you can find, nurturing that life with early neurological stimulation and training, and then enjoying the young puppy stage to the fullest is just the best! And my family is good at it.
In 2002, at just 12 years old, I started my first breeding program with meat rabbits. But by 2004, I moved into dogs, raising Champion bloodline Labrador Retrievers alongside my dad. That continued until I left for college, when dorm life forced me to step away from breeding for a time.
Before college, I had already begun transitioning into English Mastiffs, falling in love with the breed and bringing home my first Mastiff, Teeny. But like many things in life, that chapter had to pause before it could fully begin.
After college, I became a teacher and completed my master’s degree in education. As soon as I had a home of my own again, I returned to breeding, this time fully committed to English Mastiffs.
Not long after, I married my husband, Jason, a 100% disabled combat veteran. What started as my program quickly became something we built together. When life required it, he stepped in and carried more of the day-to-day work, and today, our dogs are truly a shared responsibility.
We eventually moved back to Pennsylvania, where my dad is now part of our long-term vision as well. This has become a family operation in the truest sense.
A Turning Point
In late 2020, I was diagnosed with Functional Neurological Disorder, a condition that left me largely unable to function. Our breeding program didn’t stop right away, but it shifted and later paused for a few years. Jason carried more of the physical workload while I focused on figuring out how to get my life back.
What I found was frustrating: there wasn’t a clear, practical roadmap for recovery. So I built one.
With my background in education, I began researching, organizing, and applying what I learned in a structured, step-by-step method to heal FND. Over time, I recovered about 95%.
As I improved, people began asking how I did it. That’s what led me to start writing books.
Today, I’m both an author and a breeder. While those paths may seem unrelated, they’re rooted in the same approach: understanding complex systems and turning them into intentional, repeatable results.
How We Operate
Our life runs on seasons. When the dogs need us, they come first. When they don’t, I write. That’s how we’re able to do both well without cutting corners.
If you’re here for the books, you’ll notice there are also a lot of animals on this site. That’s not random. It’s because this is a family operation. My husband and dad are deeply involved in the breeding side, which allows that part of our work to grow about 3x as big as my writing.
Our Philosophy
We aim for excellence at the highest level. We select from proven, successful show lines and improve our program with each generation through thoughtful, intentional pairings. Our goal is to operate at a top-tier level by holding ourselves to the same standards as the best in the breed.
At the same time, we come from deep farming roots, and that foundation shapes everything we do. We believe you shouldn’t have to choose between elite, show-quality animals and the kind of functional strength that has kept animals alive in the wild since the beginning of time. Our goal is to intentionally produce both in every pairing we make.
We seek out and raise the most beautiful, structurally correct show animals we can find, animals that represent their breed at the highest level. But we raise them with a real-world standard in mind.
On a real farm, animals aren’t just expected to look good. They’re expected to function well, too. That standard keeps us grounded and focused on what truly matters.
That means being able to thrive, reproduce naturally, and care for their young without constant intervention. These traits matter just as much as titles and appearance, and we refuse to sacrifice one for the other
Our program is built on that balance, and we protect it carefully with every generation. We aim to consistently produce:
-
Elite show quality
-
Proven structure and health
-
Functional traits that allow animals to truly succeed
We take pride in what we produce, and we hold ourselves to a high standard. At the same time, we stay grounded in the mindset that built us.
We’re just raw and real around here... with an eye toward the future. That perspective keeps us focused on what lasts.
Looking Ahead
While English Mastiffs and books are our current focus, this is just the beginning. Over the next 5–10 years, our family team plans to expand thoughtfully... only adding new programs when we are fully prepared to do them right through proper health testing, structure, and, where appropriate, showing. This is a long-term, multi-generational vision.
My dad will be developing his own program alongside ours, likely focused on Bullmastiffs. While details may evolve, the standard will not. Every program under our umbrella will be built with the same commitment to quality, function, and intentional growth.
We also plan to introduce a Maine Coon program. That decision grew from hands-on experience. We once took in a rescue cat who had one small, scared kitten and by the time we got her into our house was pregnant with a second litter. Raising and socializing both litters gave us firsthand experience working with kittens from the earliest stages, including the one that started out more feral and unsocialized.
What we discovered was that we had a natural strength for it, particularly early neurological stimulation and socialization. Taking a wild and hesitant kitten and turning it into a confident, affectionate companion became something we genuinely enjoyed and excelled at.
Later, we brought home a therapy kitten, Yuna, who has made a meaningful difference in our day-to-day life. That experience solidified our decision to eventually pursue Maine Coons at a high level.
When we do, our focus will be on registered cats with strong European and show bloodlines, emphasizing both striking appearance and excellent temperament.
For now, our priority remains building our English Mastiff program the right way. We believe in doing one thing well before expanding into the next.
You may notice that parts of this website are already structured to support those future programs.
That’s intentional.
We’re not building for where we are today. We’re building for where we’re going. This site serves as a central hub for our family’s work, allowing us to grow without having to constantly rebuild behind the scenes.
And as our family grows, so will the vision. If the next generation follows the same path, we’ll be right there to guide them, just like the generations before us did.
