Pricing & Selection
Pricing Philosophy
Our program is built through selective, purpose-driven breeding... not volume.
Every litter is intentionally planned with the goal of advancing our own bloodline, and we only move forward with pairings we would confidently keep a puppy from ourselves.
Our current pricing reflects a unique phase in our program. We are actively completing and expanding our full health testing protocols across our breeding dogs, going beyond standard expectations for the breed.
As these results are finalized and documented, pricing will increase to reflect the full level of certification, investment, and long-term value behind our puppies.

Additionally, we will be showing all our males and continuing to develop our naturally whelping maternal line. Both of these changes will increase price.
Families who reserve during this phase benefit from early program pricing before these adjustments take place.

Current Pricing (Limited Availability)
Pet Price: $3,500
Breeding Rights: $1,000 (limited availability)
This reflects a limited window where buyers can secure a puppy before our program reaches its next level of development and pricing.
Planned Pricing (Upcoming Litters & Future Program)
As our health testing, program development, and demand continue to grow, pricing will adjust accordingly.
We currently maintain a waitlist of over 250 interested families, and it continues to grow.
Because we do not breed for volume and only produce litters that meet our program standards, availability remains limited and placement is selective.

We are seeing signs that everybody wants a puppy from the same pairing. So in the future the price for this pairing will be higher to ensure everything remains fair.

Pricing will reflect both the continued advancement of our program and the increasing demand for our bloodlines. We ONLY breed litters from which we would confidently keep a puppy to further our own program.

Pet Price: $4,500 – $6,500+ depending on quality, development, and demand for specific litters.
Breeding Rights: $2,000 – $5,000+
Pricing may vary based on:
-
Development and size
-
Structure and overall quality
-
Pedigree and pairing
-
Breeding or show potential
-
Demand for a limited litter

Program Development
We are building a program designed for long-term consistency and improvement of the breed. Our goal is to produce dogs that can serve as foundation stock for other serious programs, not just companions.
Our focus includes:
-
Strong maternal lines that naturally whelp and confidently raise their own young
-
Ongoing health testing
-
Strategic pairings
-
Beginning to show our own dogs
Pedigree & Bloodlines
Our dogs are built on carefully selected, proven bloodlines that combine multiple Grand Champion producers with some of the most respected and consistently producing programs in the breed, including Goldleaf, Watchman’s/Redbarns, Deer Creek, Hoosier, Stonehaven, Greiner Hall, and influential Gary Schneider lines.
English Mastiff Bloodlines
At Muddy Mastiffs, our program is built on pedigrees that reflect both elite-level achievement and long-term breeding reliability.
Within just the first four generations of our current dogs, these bloodlines include:
-
A Double Platinum Grand Champion (GCHP2)
-
Multiple Grand Champion Silvers (GCHS)
-
Numerous additional Grand Champions and Champion producers
These are not one-time wins. These titles represent repeated success against top competition, with dogs that have been consistently evaluated for structure, movement, and adherence to the Mastiff standard at a high level.
Just as importantly, these pedigrees include influential foundation dogs known for producing size, structure, temperament, and consistency across generations, not just individual standout dogs.
The result is a program built on dogs that are:
-
Proven in the show ring
-
Reliable in temperament
-
And capable of producing consistent results over time
These are the kinds of bloodlines that don’t just create good individual dogs. They create programs, which is exactly what we are building.

Add to that our own careful creation of a maternal line that betters the breed by eliminating c-sections and raising young effectively, and you've really got something special!

Our Approach to Selection
We do not accept deposits until puppies are born. At that point, you can reserve a color and gender. But we do not finalize placements at birth. Puppy selection takes place later in order of deposit, with pet selection taking place after breeding and show puppies have been selected.
English Mastiffs mature at different rates, and we evaluate puppies over time, especially when identifying future breeding prospects.
-
Some puppies may be held back for evaluation
-
Final selections are made as puppies develop
-
Top prospects are not always obvious early on

A prime example comes from our very own kennel. Zelda was my first pick of the litter puppy, and she does have a nicer personality. But Zuri grew up so beautifully big that I had to keep her, too. This fits with the way puppies develop. Personalities emerge around 2 to 4 weeks, and by then pet homes are often confident enough to pick. But show and breeding homes may need closer to 7 weeks to evaluate size and structure.
